I would like to take this opportunity to invite all the Fly Addict members to the Fiberglass fly rodders Glass Clave.

First let me tell you what the Fiberglass fly rodders are.

We are a group of fly fisherman and Women that are dedicated to
appreciating classic,custom and contemporary fiberglass fly rods.
The site has no sponsors other than that of its' members.
We are banner free !

The site was started by Alec (Flytackle) he is the man.
We have no moderators we are a peaceful group.

The glass Clave will be on the Deerfield river Charlemont MA this June on the weekend of the 22nd - 24th.
Many members from all over the country are going to attend .
The purpose of the Clave is for the Fiberglass fly rodders to meet
and share their Prized fiberglass fly rods.
Also this event is to promote the use of fiberglass fly rods to all those that have never tried one .
Many will be bringing large Fiberglass fly rod collections .
The rods will be shown and in many cases demo cast.
So if you ever wanted to try a Quality fiberglass fly rod and know the magic first hand this is your chance.
Their will also be many Bamboo and Graphite rods at the Clave as well.
The event is open to all and we invite you to bring your rods no matter what they are made of.
We will be having a pot luck dinner many folks are camping at the event.
The Clave is not an event to be missed if you are a Fly fisher Woman or
Fly fisherman.
ALL ARE WELCOME.
We are still in the planning stage.
So bear with us not all the events are scheduled yet.
Their will be a rod raffle and silent auction.
The Steffen Bros rod company have donated items as well as the McFarland rod company for the Raffle.
I have offered one of my rods for the Raffle.
And their will be more I'm sure between now and the event.
I hope you will come and join the fun at the Clave and best of all find out what the Joy of fishing Fiberglass is all about.

I viseted Thomas and Thomas yesterday as well as the Deerfield river and campground to do a recon.
I invited the T & T folks to attend the clave.
I spoke to Trever Bross at T & T and he will be coming with lots of T & T rods in tow .

I see lots of people looking at this post and no responses.
I am wondering what's up with that just no interest or what ?

As Many of you know this week end is the weekend of the Fiberglass Fly Rodder's Glass Clave.
Since my initial post many things have changed in regard to the clave and it's events.
Originally the clave was to be a major event with all kinds of activity's for the attendees and their family s.
The goal was to get as many fiberglass fly rods as we could together and let people give them a whirl and to have a rod show of many fly rods of different materials etc as well.
Over the past 6 months the organizers of the clave have changed the entire original concept.
As a result many of the original members and the vast collections of fiberglass fly rods has diminished considerably with the majority for one reason or another deciding to decline and not attend .
Myself included .
I canceled my plans to camp at the site and make a 4 day mini Vacation of the event.
I have been trying to get a schedule of events for the past 6 months and quite frankly the folks that are organizing this event have been reluctant to cast anything in stone.
The event has turned into more of a meet and greet and fishing outing than an actual clave dedicated to its original purpose.
I have been able to get this much we will be meeting at the Picnic Pavilion
at 1 :00 PM for a Rod Show and Casting Exhibition .
I can tell you this I will be attending and Keeping my promise to deliver one of my custom rods for the drawing.
After I deliver the rod I promised over 6 months ago I will be heading South to the Farmington to catch the late afternoon fishing and evening hatch.
