Got a request to throw this up here :D

This is one of what I call my 'guide patterns'. It is easy to tie, so it doesn't hurt if a client donates some to the river gods, and it has great action in the water so it does not require a specific presentation to work...in other words it catches fish!

There will be a true step by step with pictures published in the next edition of Hatches Magazine, the one you have listed in your links section, which is due to come out next week!

http://flytyingforum.com/uploads/img4403ae385dc39.jpg

ingredients:
-hook: Daiichi 2220 4XL
-thread: Danville 3/0 monocord
-Red Fox tail
-tan hen hackle
-tan medium chenille
-Opal Mirage flash or Krystal Flash

All you do is tie in a tail of fox tail
tie in hackle
tie in and wrap tan chenille
wrap hackle
tie in two strands of Mirage or Krystal Flash
tie in a collar of fox tail

If you have any questions shoot me a PM or email and I will be glad to help!

Thank you for the compliments and to answer your questions: yes and yes :D
I am in the midst of rebuilding my site so they are not yet on it but if you shoot me an email off the site or a PM from here I can work in an order. The regular version is $1.75 and the BH version is $1.95, generally in sizes 4, 6, and 8.
If you can wait a week then check out the next Hatches Magazine on-line, the link is on your links section of this site if you haven't seen it yet, there will be a step by step with pictures

Thanks Mike! I will most definetly be getting me some of those foxy streamers. And, when I start tieing maybe I'll give it a try. Baby steps first. Thanks for the advise.

Best,

Pete

Mike,

Got the flies. They look great. I'll be using them shortly and let you know how they do. If I were a fish, they'd make me hungry.
