I got this book out of the local library and have to say Im really enjoying it. The author is William G. Tapply. The book is a composition of short stories of fly fishing episodes throughout his life, beginning with his childhood. Its nothing earth shattering but good short reads with insights, tips, and thoughts thrown in. Stories are short enough to read several during your morning constitutional.

if you like that sort of thing look up john gierach. he wrote trout bum originally and has a bunch of books, i've read them all through the winter and it helped alot with the "shack nasties"

I agree with Smack. I have read all but one of Gierach's books, and they are quite engrossing. I am not the most well-read individual, but I happen to think Gierach's is an excellent author. I recommend Sex, Death, and Fly-Fishing.

I've read all of Geirach's too, I've even started to collect signed copies - sad, I know. Rumor has it that there's a new one coming out. Anyone know when?

i haven't heard anything yet. i just checked b&n and they don't have anything listed yet. usually you can pre-order when they know what the release date is.
i don't like being a junior. i think i was one of the first members too. guess i need to do some more posting.
