I plan on posting some patterns with instructional photos maybe one a week if possible. I have a few ideas already in the works, but I want some input on what everyone might like to see. I want to keep it all relevant to our area and I hope others will submit some patterns also in hopes to build a sick fly pattern data base. I might start out simple with the basic go to's, but if anyone has some ideas of flies they might like to see I'm all ears.

I would like to see how to tie the parasol parts of flies, ie. the parasol midge.

Two thoughts. The recent "must have fly" thread might be a good place to start. Second, this project sounds like a lot of work. One can find illustrations of most flies on the Net already. Perhaps a hot link to a site with the specific fly along with your comments would serve well. You probably can't just lift the pictures without permission but the sites would probably welcome the hits. I can provide info on some of these sites if you like.
I like the idea of a local fly list. Specific dubbing blends for each river would be nice, for instance. I hope the project works out.
