We have a group flying in to Labrador in August and have just learned Air Canada has a carry on size limit of 9" X 15.5" X 21.5", which we take to mean that our 29" or 30" cases for 4 piece 9 ft. rods are not allowed as carry ons.
Has anyone recently flown on Air Canada and successfully carried on 4 pc. 9 ft. rods ? What about carrying on reels and flies ?? How about metal (aluminum) cases vs. pvc or ABS fabric covered ?
Appreciate any feedback. We have a short connection (45 minutes) and really don't want to miss a day or two of fishing if checked bags don't make it through.
