I love my wife, and I love spending time with her and our boys (3 and 1 year old).

I also love fishing.

I'd like to take this moment to publicly thank you, Karen, for understanding how important it is for me to go fishing. For watching the boys (who can be a handful) while I'm out. For not running away in horror when I come home smelling like cigar/fish. I tell everyone I meet that you're the best wife for understanding all this and helping me do the things I love. I mean every word.

My favorite part of fishing is coming home to you.

Happy Mother's Day. I love you.

Sounds like we both chose well!

Guys, make sure you tell your wife/girlfriend/significant other how much you appreciate their support and understanding of a hobby that takes you away from them so much.

You may not catch more fish. But I'll bet you catch more fishing time.

What a suck up!!

Think that'll score ya some extra time on the water? :P :D

NOT!!!!

Just kiddin'...... you're absolutely right, of course..... :D

(I have to say that, lest my wife should take a gander at the board.... )

.....OOPS, er I mean, Thank You, Honey, I love you...... :D

I must say that my wife is an extraordinary woman in all ways but none more so than in her tolerance of my fishing habits. :D Plus, she puts up with me on a regular basis.

I appreciate her more every day!

:D I must agree with you guys. A person can't spend as much time fishing as me, without a very understanding wife. She is even planning a trip to Yellowstone with me late June, specifically for fishing.(for me). Not only that, but she goes out and works every day while I just go fishing. I wouldn't be able to find a woman anywhere who would accept that. Here's to her, and all the other wonderful wives out there, God bless.

My wife and I were married almost 2 years ago. Planning on children ASAP! She knows fishing is an important part of my life. I really enjoy her company when she comes with me. She doesn't fly fish but we have a lot of fun surf/jetty fishing and we've even taken the occasional charter trip together.

She gets very angry with me if I keep a fish out of water to long if only to just take a picture or two.

It's nice to see others have wonderful wifes/girlfriends/significant others as well.

I know a few people here and there who don't have the luxury of the support and understanding we do, so we truly are lucky.

And wow, Grady...I don't know what to say. What a wonderful compliment. :D
