Hardcore: fished a WTMA today

Yeah, I know it's crazy, but I really wanted to a) fish, b) See what the water was like, and c) catch something in adverse conditions. So hit a local WTMA for 45 minutes at lunch. Blown out, stained, and pouring rain, but would you believe I had two fish on? The first one totally surprised me, and I missed him. The second was digging my black wooly bugger big time, because he whacked it three times, although I never really had him hooked. Would have been nice to get one.

I loves my fishin' time.

Looks like striper time for me this Wed afternoon and evening, Thursday all day, and Friday dawn. Hope I can find some fish!

Next week, I think I'm gonna hit the Catskills Tue and Wed. March Browns and Caddis galore. I hope..... :wink:

Yeah, I had a blast standing in two feet of water where there's normally 6 inches, rain pouring down, and just digging the scene around me. I am going to definitely head back Thursday or Friday while the water's still high for round two. Gonna hook and land one of those wild trout.

And yes, I am a flyaddict for sure.

Perhaps we can meet up again once the River becomes civilized. Really jonesing for a half day.
