Hi all-
First off- great site! I've been lurking here for about a month and have greatly enjoyed the converstaions/tips/reports. Hopefully, I can provide some reports of my own in the future.
But to the topic... I've been searching for a cheapie small 3wt rod that I can use on smaller brooks around here (mainly the Salmon Brook) and have come across a 7ft 3wt Eagle Claw Granger and either the same brand reel or a Martin Mt Brook reel at about the same price. I'm not expecting these to be the best pieces of equipment out there, but if someone tells me to "STAY AWAY" I can always spend a little extra. From another thread, I believe I read that the Redington stuff is pretty good for the money. Anyway, any opinions on the Eagle Claw stuff would be greatly appreciated.
