Favorites

Does anybody have a favorite fly to tie? My favorites are any type of pheasant tail, stimulators and royal wulffs. My least favorite are any fly that requires spinning dear hair, I just haven't gotten the knack of it yet.

Don't have a favorite, but I tried a few booby flies last weekend which have to be the easiest tie ever.

Since I'm just getting back into tying after many years with the vise packed away, and was never very good anyway, I'm having a heck of a time using mallard flank feathers for wings on drys.

As for spinning deer hair, at least on larger flies, if I remember correctly one of the techniques for getting it to behave was to tie it in in smaller clumps and pack them.
