I was reading some content over on the Hatches site and decided to give the magazine a try. I got my first issue today and must say that's it's well done - nice paper, great photos, solid articles - in every aspect.

I especially like the For Show and For Throw article. Tying the same fly in two different ways - one as art, the other for fish. Very cool. Recommend you check it out.

I enjoy it myself. I have already had success with The Cyborg patterns for Saltwater. I am addicted to Yak hair now also. Makes a fly look full with little material and sheds water with one backcast. The magazine has few ads and lots of patterns. It is the first issue so we will see were it goes. Will Mullis who runs The Fly Tying forum has a big part in the magazine. He asked to advertise with Flyaddict and I said absolutely. A true addict.

I got my Hatches magazine yesterday. It is very well done and really a quality product. One problem is that because of the snow and freezing rain yesterday its got a bit of water damage. I was a bit bummed, but it dried out okay.
