As promised the Fishing Bible has been revised and redesigned
one will not need the assistance of the Ovaltine secret decoder ring to find the 'Classic' holes of which some were named different in the first edition.
The spell check was turned on, the back cover tuned down, the tips and directions clearer and more direct....
The flies, master maps, individual maps, tip pages and even the legend were either dressed down or dressed up depending ....
3rd party gave their 12 cent over some 16 ouncers, a few fine gentlemen from larvas through fly addicts from this site assisted also.
For those who gave their constructive feedback, thank you. For those who sent private messages with inspiration and appreciation, I can't thank you enough. 10 days till the HR outfitters and others carry again.

River1:

Is this the same Fisherman's Bible that is advertised on a sign just before going over the Unionville bridge northbound on the right side of the road? If so, is this available locally anywhere?

Awaiting your reply,
Paddy

I had the pleasure of meeting Pete (river1) last week, and got my hands on a copy of the revised version of the publication. I have to say it's definitely worth the investment if you don't have the time to spend hours upon hours hiking the many miles of water that are covered in its contents. Not only were the spelling and grammatical errors corrected, but some of the presentation was altered for clarity and ease on the eyes. Thanks Pete...

who needs a credit? Give me a break , I know your joking . Even with a few typos the first edition of Fishing Bibles is worth the money. All the information is the same. And you may never know maybe he will write more and become the next Sir Izaak Walton, that first edition may be worth a fortune.

actually the hammy and salmon along with the lil' kennebego and rapid should all hit the market by AUG 17.

Finishing up the hammy today met a few fly fishers in all "three" sections. Just had camera in hand, yet the rod and gear were in the trunk, minus the piece of paper that authorizes me to fish by the state (license) so I figured I would observe....At the bottom of summer hill I made a new friend in arms...gave him a pair and a spare of both the poisonous red ant (20) and a pair and a spare of gray scuds (20/22) They were rolling for a caddy emerg' pattern and just before I left I saw his rod bend 2x by two nice ones strippin' the scud back through a small run . I mentioned of course the Farmy Bible yet told him to check out this brotherhood... nice day out there. He was trowing a 8.5' footer...I had a 'time of it with 7.5 last week when I fished all three primary pull offs. Good on 'em. Nice work and I think there will be a newbie ( as if I can talk when it comes to this site) aboard soon.

Thanks to FLYONE and AQUACHIMP...& .Southpaw...we're long for an encounter ...the camera is charging and the river is calling...

I just ordered the book by using the link you provided. Can't wait for it to arrive!

A helpful hint for those who'll order the book this way--if you're a new Lulu customer and don't have an account, the website will prompt you to enter a password to create an account. The password needs to be at least six characters long, although the website doesn't tell you that at the time. My normal password is only five characters and the page just kept refreshing with no explanation as to why I couldn't proceed. I finally found the six-or-more-characters instructions on a different page. Other than that, it was a seamless, secure transaction.

thanks
I haven't made a "personal purchase" on line yet that's good feedback for others. A bunch of shops along the farmington have sold through and (even as of tonight) are requesting more copies so there will be stacks of the new edition along the river within about 10 days...the same haunts that carried the first edition earlier (see website)
hot action with the flow going down over the last few days and the blessing of the rain staying away for the most part this weekend. a host of 16-22"'s on film from 5 new spots...youtube needs to tell me how the heck to get the right format for download.

From Riverton to Hartford the 'pipeline' is filled back up with the 'bible'

A happy 4th to all, Semper Fidelis to those I served with,

For those of you who are going to run your own fireworks show, remember the following:

"Place on level surface, light the fuze and get away"

The directions DONOT state to:

1) Hold in hand and try to "time it"
2) Hold in stronger hand as you hold a beverage in the other
3) Place on ground which is unstable and hope it doesn't fire back at you
4) If device seems like a dud, please, feel free to walk back over it and stand above it to get a better view at what might be wrong

At the very least you need to keep one good eye and your casting hand in working order

Stay safe ...
See ya on the river
