I'm thinking of running around campus turning off water sprinklers and just leaving a calling card with a picture of a wild brook trout and the words "Thank You". Anyone up for this, bring your clown mask and meet me at the corner of College and Chapel. We should meet at 12pm, as this is when most sprinklers round here seem to be dispensing precious, fresh water into roads and down drains. An end to lawn beautification!
But seriously, good (obvious?) tips are here http://www.epa.gov/WaterSense/pubs/land.htm
I've made my colleagues aware. If you see this sort of thing and it narks you (as apparently it does me), perhaps you'd do the same?
Thanks for listening.
Cheers,
Jon
