Does anyone know who manufactures Orvis hooks?

:D Smoked Trout: I don't know the answer but it's probably Japan,Korea, or China. You weren't getting any replies so I thought I'd say hello. You are my hero. You live in Barkhamstead. I have a suspicion that that Orvis is getting their hooks from Tiemco out of Japan but I’m not sure. I was hoping someone might be able to confirm this fact.

As for being your hero, you may want to hold off until you see me fish. That sight might dissuade you from any unwarranted worshipping.

Living close the river has proven very convenient. Oddly enough I moved to Barkhamsted before I started fishing. I frequently passed by the river and saw the scores of anglers flailing away and thought it might be worth a try. So I bought a cheep set up and hit the river. The rest is history.

i think that they get their hooks from dai-riki.
i am almost 100% that it is not tiepmco or daiichi....

the only thing that i am sure of is where they get their fly lines from.

I have a pack of Daiichi #1100 dry fly hooks with a wide gape and oversized eye which says "sold in cooperation with Orvis Co., Inc. I'm pretty sure that this means that Daiichi makes the Orvis "Big Eye" hooks. They most likely make other hooks for them as well. 8T :D

ET you are correct. Daiichi makes the Orvis Hooks. Daiichi is the only one who makes the Big Eye hooks for us blind people. 2WT

Just another FYI. I just picked up a few hundred Daiichi 1110 hooks and noticed on the labels of the 25 packs they say *Sold in cooperation with Orvis Co., Inc. 2WT
