Doesn't that just mean tying two buggers on?

:D Bobbbn: Is it because of short hits that you want a tandem fly? If so, I think I can help you. But I've never seen a tandem wooly bugger. It wouldn't be too hard to tie, but it would look wierd. I'll tie you up a few if you like.

Flyaddict,

I think he's looking for a wooly bugger with two hooks, like some streamers have.

I have a few tandem streamers in my box, and they are popular when trolling for salmon and lakers in the Lakes region of New Hampshire.

Just remember, you can't use double hook flies in the Farmington TMA.

Best of luck on your quest!

Flyaddict, didn't you have a link to some two piece streamers(mix&match)from Flies and Fins?

Thanks guys......I ask because I found one of these "tandem" black wooly buggers hanging from a tree branch at a pond I fly fish. It had a weighted (not bead) head followed by a tandem hook attached to the front hook with some heavier mono. It was a great fly to throw with a sink tip line and I caught some really big fish with it. I'd love to find it in black and white.

I can make it any way you like. Do you want a black body with white hackle and tail or the other way around?

I'll give it a try. I don't have white for the body but I'll work it out. A friend in Fla. makes tandem flies. He showed me how to tie them. Last night I tied an olive one and it didn't come out bad. I'll let you know when they're done.

P.S. It won't be till July since I'm leaving for West Yellowstone Saturday.

I don't think the one at FliesandFins had a second hook they just had interchangable bodies.

I got a chance to tie a couple of those flies today. We'll have to meet and see if they're what you are looking for. I'm going to the Farmington tomorrow afternoon till evening. Let me know if you can make it.

Why not just add a "stinger" hook to a standard bugger. I like long tails on mine for the swimming action and do have short hits at times.
