looking to head up to the rapid this year.
can anyone advise when the best time is to go and where to stay?

Two choices for lodging: Lakewood camps are located right at Middle Dam or stay with guide Aldro French at his camps below where Lower dam used to be. Best time is flow dependent and depends on what kind of fishing you like. Alder fly hatch occurs first 2 weeks of July. Plenty of stoneflies and caddis in June. Streamer fishing in September.
