The First of January

This is what I did to start the new year.

The wife had to work so I took her in for 5 am, came home, made some Green Mountain French Roast, and hit the vise.
I tied a few streamers, jumped on line for awhile, then picked up the misses.

I had the desire to fish a stream today so about noon or so we headed out to give it a shot. When we arrived and got out of the car, the cold and the wind changed our minds, so we took a few pics and came home.

We both enjoyed a great meal.
Spaghetti, with clam sauce, and grilled lamb chops.

I hope the rest of my year will be as good.

Today, I had a great outing catching wild brookies, or stripers, or trout, or steelhead, at some future date tbd. See, what I did was paint the guest room. That made Mrs. Fisherman very happy. How can she refuse the next time I want to head out? ;-)

I too wanted to get out today but the cold was just too much. So, tomorrow is my day! Let's hope the weather isn't too soupy.

Those are nice flies, water looks inviting, but the food looks the best right about now.
