Does anyone know a good website to look at river maps that includes roads. Mapquest and Googlemaps don't really show the rivers too well and rarely name them, even the big ones.

Have you checked the "terrain" button on Google Maps? It names almost every river I've ever been interested in fishing.

Thanks, that works great
Birdseye view at this map site allows you to zoom in from different directions. Birdseye view is not available for all areas.

You can also download topo maps for free at the USGS Store (http://store.usgs.gov/b2c_usgs/b2c/start/(xcm=r3standardpitrex_prd)/.do).
Click on the link in the right hand column "Download Topo Maps Free"

This site has nothing to do with fishing but they have links to some pretty cool maps. Not just in CT but all over New England
