Lamson V1 reel- spool installation - help!

I have the above and recently bought a spare spool, but can't figure out how to get the old off and install this one... any help is appreciated

You just pull. I know it sounds silly but place your right hand on the spool and the left hand on the reel and apply steady pressure outward and you'll hear and pop and the spool will come off. Actually it's quite a bit of pressure.

Another way of doing it is to put both thumbs onto the spool right next to the drag knob and push forward hard popping the spool off.

It becomes easier with time.

i recently bought a Konic 3.5. same procedure?-Paul

yes its the same for the Konic series. I find it easier to push from the drag nob side. Push hard dont worry you wont break it. Mine comes off with a few pounds of pressure.

This is the only complaint I have about my Konic 2.0. Sometimes in the cold this hurts my thumbs.
