After working this morning, I got home and decieded to tie a few flies.

I tied up a bunch of Ausable Bombers and Wulffs.
I tie up quite a few of these durring the season because they produce very well and the streamside veggies take a bunch to.

I also tied up some of these. Its a streamer created by a known fly tyer and fly shop owner on the Farmington River.

Its called the Moby Dick.

Moby Dick is on my list to tie before the season starts. I meant to pick one up last time I was at C&C, but I forgot. Thanks for posting the recipe.

The Moby reminds me a little of a winged wooly worm.

Off Topic...How come you can type "dick" but not "****" (dam +n)? I'd rather have my kids say the latter. Is it the whole "it's my name" thing?

And this fly it Dave's creation?

Yes it is.

Theres a nice photo of it in"Forgotten Flies".

He is also the originator of the beautiful streamer fly " Brown Olive Ghost"

There are fine photos of this streamer in Hilyards book on Carrie Stevens, and in "Forgotten Flies"
