Excellent new NH/VT band's

Guys I relaize this isn't a music board but but what fly fisherman doesn't appreciate music?
Stackedband is out of Burlington, VT and Bryan my step son, is playing bass on the recordings. I really like the tune “Pilot”.
I believe they are an excellent band great music. They will be down your way in Mrach and April.

Learn to Swim,

Is a band out of Kean NH. The recordings here do not include Bryan or the present drummer. These demo recordings were made by the vocalist and the two guitarists picked up playing bass and drums for the recording. Now with Bryan and the adition of a great drummer, Bryan says it is a dynamite band and getting a good following with the 18 – 24 year old crowd as you can see from the number of hits they get.

I have seen the "Boys" at the state house playing on the 4th of July a few years back and they are good.

This is a couple guys I used to be in a band with and one is the guy I usually fish with.

They are an interesting band as its just 2 of them and they play multiple instruments simultaneously either through looping guitar parts of physically doing it. The drummer plays keyboard or ukulele while drumming.

....Speaking as an old guy... I like the old bands, but like to hear new things.

Wolfgang's Vault (http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/) has a huge collection of live concerts with bands like the Dead, Cream, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Santana, Little Feat, NRBQ, plus some new stuff, country.... something for everyone really.
Some are downloadable... most are just streamed

Some of my favorites are the electric CSN&Y sets from the 4Way Street recordings, both of the Derek & the Dominos shows, and (believe it or not) the Boz Scaggs shows..

I like listening to Bluegrass on my mp3 player while I'm fishing.....I also like to leave my friends messages on their voicemails w/ bluegrass playing in the background and me giving them a big YEEEEEHAAAWWWW when I'm going fishing....They get a kick out of it...Call me crazy (my wife and friends do...LOL), but I think Bluegrass gets my rhythm going especially good when I'm nymphing.

I don't listen to anything but 'nature' now, but many moons ago I'd take a little transistor radio with me while I fished the streams of eastern CT.
The only station that I could pick up was WHUS, the UConn station, and on Sat and Sun mornings they played all Polka music...still do, I think.

And that was the beginning of my no music on stream policy

I can get behind some bluegrass while fishing. I am too clumsy to risk an mp3 player on a stream (don't trust waterproof cases with expensive stuff). I actually played a little mandolin on a song the Mad Things had up on their site (I think they replaced the song though). The guy I fish with who is in the band used to play in a bluegrass-ish band around Fairfield County I used to sit in with on occasion called the All Grass Blues Stars. It was a cool setup-guitar, uke, fiddle and bass.
