I hope like heck those beautiful bamboo rods are being used for what they were made to do!!
What lengths are they?
Is the top one a Morris Kushner?

I don't know about BRKs beautiful rods, and they are beautiful. my guess is he fishes them and that they must be a joy on some of those small streams he fishes.
As for my humble WM Granger 9050, I've already fished it a few times since I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and plan on fishing it regularly. As a matter of fact that plan includes a couple of nights next week if you'd like to join me on the Farmington. That's an open invitation to anyone who's got the time. I haven't picked the days yet, waiting to see what the weather brings.

Let me know what nights. I fish bamboo.
Some I have made others I have built from the blanks.
Grangers are great rods, what do you use on yours for a reel?

I've tried a couple of reels. I have an old medalist. my first reel I bought it some 20 years ago, but it just made the whole rig feel a little to heavy, the medalist must be over 6 ounces maybe 7. I have a couple of Orvis BBS in a size 2, that felt good but is a little to light at just over 3 ounces and didn't really have enough room to hold a DT5 and backing. So I just picked up another BBS in a size 3, that's closer to 4 ounces, that should be about right. I got in on sale with a free spool. Esthetically I like the BBS, in titanium it looks nice on the granger reel seat and has a nice old school look to it. Some might argue that I should go with something heavier to balance the rod, but for me the heavier reels just feel heavy. Right now I have a Cortland 444 DT5 on it and it cast very nicely at about 40 to 60 feet. I am thinking of trying a wulff TT5 on it, but I put the brakes on the spending spree... for now.
I'm happy with the Granger, I wanted a bamboo rod specifically for fishing the Farmington and so far it seems to fit me and the river just right. The bamboo definitely has a different feel to it when casting and playing fish. I also get a kick out of the whole setting it up to fish and breaking it down when done process, it has a certain traditional fly fishing ritualiy aobut it. The only thing I don't like is the fact that in this kind of heat I can't just leave it in the car with the rest of my gear at the ready.

Sounds like a nice set up on the Granger. I would try the Medalist though. It may be heavier, after a couple hours of casting with too light a reel your wrist will hurt. The couple extra ounces for balance will make a difference in the long run.
Got your PM, Monday's are not a good night for me, sorry.
