Anyone have any suggestions on nice polarized sunglasses?
Thanks!

There are so many quality brands out there you may wind up with a list that gets confusing. (Action Optics, Smith, Maui Jim...)
Three things to consider are lens color, side shields, and lens type.
The amber/copper/brown lenses are great (IMO) because you get good contrast and can wear them from early morning to late in the day (almost dark).
Side shields, either polarized or solid are ideal. With a hat, the side shields block out most light that reflects off the inner lens and makes it so much easier to see through, AND READ, the water.
Glass doesnt scratch as easily as plastic or polycarbonate lenses, but polycarbonate is the most impact resistant (prime consideration if you chuck heavy streamers like coneheads or clousers).
Hope this helps

I echo SloNDeep. Most brands are really good. Smith/Action Optics are our store's major brand because they have the widest range of shapes, sizes and lens colors but if you find one from a major company that fits than it is guaranteed to be fine.
I personally wear yellow lenses all the time they allow much more light to the eye than grays, coppers, and browns. This means they are usable in low light like mornings, evenings and gray days. Yellow provides great bottom contrast for seeing fish. UV protection is the same as darker lenses as all harmful light is still filtered out.
Copper & brown are good all around glasses...avoid gray for river fishing as it doesn't provide decent bottom contrast.
The vast majority of the glasses are polycabonate. In my opinion it is not worth pursuing a glass lens as they are twice as expensive.

I use the Action Optics glass. Clear and undistored vision. I use grey or brown lense depending on weather. No complaints - also, I like the fact that they do not scratch as easily as the plastics.

IMO - the side shields and hat are probably more important than the lenses - nowadays lens quality is pretty good from most manufacturers - but if you let a lot of light in the sides or from above that bounces around on the inside lens surfaces - you will nulify your investment.
Just my experience - hope it helps.

While I always wear a hat, my eyes sweat and lenses fog when I wear side-shields. My glasses kind of semi-wrap - also something to think about.

I hear you, Spike - how fortunate we are to have that problem, eh? This means we have an excellent (cool) fishery that fishes well into the heat of summer. I LOVE the Farmington...

CostCo will sell you a pair of optical quality polarized glasses, plastic lensese, for 2 cents plus the price of the frame.
