Sat Feb. 6th the Connecticut Fly Fishermans Association will be hosting an Expo at Maneeleys in South Windsor, Ct. 06074 from 9AM-3PM. Past featured guests have included Lefty Kreh, Bob Clouser and Bob Popovics. This year it is Dave Brandt. If anyone wants to learn how to tie a classic Catskill Dry Fly Dave is the man to watch. This expo will have something for everyone from the casual to the expert fly fisherman. For the Fly Tyers out there Dave Brandt, Bob Mead, Leslie Wrixon, Richie Tillman, Paul Rossman and a host of others will be sharing their knowledge. There will also be 5 seminars throughout the day.
9-10 AM Rob Nicholas will present Fishing the Housatonic: Where, When and How.
10-11 AM Capt Ray Stachelek presents Super Size: Hungry for Big Stripers? How to satisfy their taste on the fly.
11-12 AM Dave Brandt presents playing big fish.
12-1 PM Baxter House Outfitters Ken Tutalo presents Secrets of the Delaware's East Branch
1-2 PM Capt John Planeta presents Live Lining Eels
There will also be 18 vendors including local clubs, Fresh & Saltwater Guides, Fly Shops, Rod Builders and various Art.
This expo is small and quaint and a nice way to spend a day. Admission is only 1 dollar for adults and children 16 and under enter free. There is also free parking.
