On The Run

i took the time to read "On The Run" by David DiBenedetto this past week. I bought the book a year ago and for no reason in particular, i just got around to reading it now. the book's author becomes a bit of a striper bum and follows the fall run from maine to north carolina. he employs many conventional and non-conventional techniques for catching stripers and he hooks up with quite the cast of characters during his journey. it is a decent read that is somewhat ala john gierach. i would certainly recommend that you check this book out. my only issue with it is that he makes no mention of CT at all. he writes about some of the same spots in RI that many guys on here fish.

yes I agree an excellent book, I too found fault in the fact that he bypassed CT without wetting a line but it's not enough of a reason to not endorse it.

There are no fish nor characters worthy of print in CT, and let's keep it that way!

At least from an in print stand point.
