The Cob Web vs Car Wash

Im sorry if I missed the posting but what was the decision about the car wash that might be built where the cob web stands on rt 44? Is it still being discussed? I hoping someone will tell me that it got shot down.

Last I heard was that they were going to conduct another study as to whether or not the runoff would have any ill effects on the river, then it would go back up for approval. I heard it could take a year, but that was last summer. I'm no scientist, but common sense tells me there is no way having a car wash that close to the river and Cherry Brook would have no ill effects. I think it's only a matter of what is an acceptable level of runoff. I'm sure in most of our collective opinions, no level is acceptable. Unfortunately, the bodies that govern, don't see it that way.

man i was hoping its was killed. i think i have to go and count the number of car washs that already exsist on 44. Thus provong the point that one more car wash is not necessary at that location. Ill have to kep an eye out and count them up. I read the minutes on lne from the town meetings and thier trying to make it a classy car wash with fake stone "like what is common around the foundations of condominiums and garage doors that look like barn doors." So what there really saying is its gonna look tacky and fake and probably go out of business within two years of operation because: one there are 15 car washes down the road, and two because NO ONE PAYS FOR A CLASSY CAR WASH IN A RECESSION!
