I started tying these about two years ago, I don't get out in the salt water much but when I do these Half and half Ray's flies do pretty well from me. It a cross between the Clouser, Deceiver and Ray's fly.

NICE! I've used this pattern in chartreuse & gold for sand eels on the Cape flats. I gotta get going with my saltwater tying game.

Then maybe it should be called a "Third-n-third-n-third" !

It is a good fly. I think a few long thin hackles, to make a clouser into a half-n-half, make a much, much more lively looking fly in the water. I fish them a lot more than I do a "plain" clouser minnow.
