Does anyone know what the DEP's plan on fall stocking are this year?
You know Farmington (lots hopefully), Salmon River (Lots again I hope close to home), other streams and rivers. I want to fly fish catch and release a lot this fall, however don't want to waste my time on dead (no fish) water. :wink:

Do you mean the exact schedule? Or will they be stocking those areas? If the latter, I can guarantee that they will be putting fish in the water.

If the former, I'm not privy to a schedule, but if you go to the DEP site and click on the weekly fishing report, they tell you where they plan to (or have already) stock(ed) that week.

FWIW, you can catch trout on the Farmington year round. :D

I have yet to catch a trout in the Salmon between January and March.

They recently stocked the Farmington from the dam down to the TMA.

IIRC, the DEP starts its fall stocking everywhere else in mid-September.
