Yeap, Got a few of those - thanks

Been confused about the body color of these flies are they maroon or are they an olivey brown

Not sure if my theory is correct, but this is a fast swimming nymph that inhabits fast water so I'm not sure the trout get all that good a look at them. I wouldn't get too strung up on colors. When ISO are moving in the water I think it's the movement that gets the trout.

The LWC is a traditional solution.

You could also play around with things like the February Red, or make your own (game bird hackle name) and (thread color name). Or (game bird hackle name) and herl.

I wonder if a March Brown wingless wet would do the trick? There's surely one way to find out. ;-)

I've tied a few dark brown nymphs with long marabou tails thinking they might give me the action that mimics Iso's swimming. But I've to prove they work.
