I noticed some of the guys liking the iso nymph with the white stripe up the back. A neat way to get that effect is to use the striped feather from a jungle cock cape (not the really expensive eye part ) . You pliobond it and then tie it in by the tip and pull it back over for a nice shell back with the distinct white stripe. I learned this pattern a long time ago from Dick Talleur; Gabe from Mill River Fly Shop used to have him come and do classes at the store. Speaking of Gabe; it's been a while now since he has passed....hope everythings OK on the other side; be well Brother.
All the best,

I miss Gabe too .... he always nagged me about sitting in on one of Dicks' classes but I kept telling him I didn't feel like I knew enough about tying yet. Gabe was also the one who gave me a heads up on the importance of that white line on the Iso nymph. He once told me that the first time I travel west to flyfish , I will always find a way to go every year.
After going West for the past 7 yrs....I'd say he was right
