I have a pair of the helix that I wear in the salt.......good wader but not as good or as comfortable as my Simms G3's that I wear in fresh water (in my opinion the best piece of fly fishin' equip I own--comfort, reliablity, & durablity)......having said that you can't go wrong with the helix waders.....anything at all goes wrong.......Bean replaces em'....... Agree with Paul D, I had a pair for a few months and they were great until I had 2 pairs leak within a 3 month period, but what wader does not eventually leak? Then I purchased the SIMMS G3 and never looked back. Small things that made a big difference between the Simms and Helix was the internal pocket on the SIMMS for keys tippet etc and a place for nippers sold me. The Helix are pretty bomb proof but the lack of a small internal pocket in addition to a better fit for me and durability of the SIMMS made it a better choice personally. The zippered pocket on the SIMMS worked out better for me as well in that stuff wouldn't be so prone to falling out when I had the zipper open as I have a habit of leaving it open on occasion. The Helix has side zippers and I was always worrying I would lose something and eventually did. Both are similarly priced. Go for the SIMMS and buy it from Bean and your covered should you have any issues.
