I was wondering if anyone knew of any scientific article that have been done about the restoration of the Norwalk or Mianus rivers. My girlfriend is in school at U. New Haven getting her masters environmental science with a focus on invasive species but needs to find articles on the restoration of riparian zones in NE rivers/streams. Knowing work has been done on these rivers I thought maybe someone knew of any articles published on them. Or if you happen to know of any other similar articles on other rivers that would also be very helpful. Thanks a lot guys. I know a few people on here are in similar fields. She stressed so I am trying to help her out.

Jay,
If there's anything I can't stand it's dishonesty! :liar: Tell the truth.....She's stressed and you're not gettin any nookie until she completes her thesis, so you thought you'd get in her good graces by helping out. Stop pretending you're doing it just to be nice. Best of luck, my friend. I've personally experienced the lack of nookie that comes along w/ a big assignment.

Google scholar is a good way to find articles, in my opinion, since you can also find what articles have cited a particular one. If she cannot access some journals or data bases, she might be able to get them through Yale as well, which has access to just about every journal in the world.
She will definitely need to learn how to track these studies down herself - that's part of being a grad student in the sciences!

Oh she knows how. She's actually taken a rather convoluted way to get her masters. Actually started out in Montana State U where shes already had a study published. She's done a lot of research already, just has a lot of other work on her plate. This side of the country the focus is on marine, which she obviously did nothing with in MT so shes playing catch up in class. Unfortunately U New Haven has a crap journal selection and she doesn't have access to Yale. She's probably going to have to pay for access to Syracuse U's journal database. We went there so she can buy into their access.
