There is a CTDEP meetign being held tonight at the Wallingford Library to discuss stream flows in CT. The actual hearing will be held tomorrow up in DEP from 10am -12....if I recall correctly. I recall seeing a flier about it from Bob Crook, he is a sportsman lobbyist. I was looking for his e-mail message and when I find it I'll pass it along.....if interested. Others may knwo about it already....just trying to spread the word...

Thanks for the article on puffball nymphing...this style has opened up a new kind of nymphing for me. In the past, I've pretty much nymphed with small stick-on foam indicators or yarn, but I always had trouble getting the nymph down deep.

I like the "lob" casting approach, using the weight of the rig in the current to load the rod.

couple of questions...

1. Do you know a way of casting futher across stream vs. say more upstream like the lob casting seems to lend itself to.

2. If you're working pocket water...fishing from pocket to pocket...how many times should you try to cast to each location? It seems like at some point the indicator and frequent casts will spook just about anything away.

I am wondering if you could please let us know tying description (body, wing, legs) of both caddis listed in this week's Up Country report.
I am referring to -Winter/Summer 18-22, and -Tan 16-18.
Friend Bob Cregg and myself will -most likely- drive over to the Farmy within the next couple of weeks. It is simply too tempting, more so when distance-wise is about the same than to the upper Connecticut (here in New Hampshire) where flows, water temp and hatches are not doing it for us this year. Thanks!

Ahoy hoy.
Have a bit of a dilemma. I uploaded pics to the gallery. After the processing stage my browser (Mozilla) just blanked out the page and when I hit refresh and forced the POSTDATA, it uploaded duplicates but successfully. I went and removed one of each and instead it took them all. Somehow they are linked.
I killed the browser and retried but got the same result, duplicates if I refresh the page that times out/hangs.

Aw shucks...my first friend. :-)
