The "wallet" is 13"x9" and fits perfectly in my fly case(actually an orvis reel and spool case) when on the boat but other than that it stays in the car and I will just use a zip lock freezer bag...

Same as Todd.Tips forward and have never used it on the highway but have driven around with rods in it up to 40-45 mph with absolutely no problems.The tips don't move around as much as you might...
