    Default An unusual Montauk double

I've had my share and seen plenty of doubles but never one like this. Wednesday I fished Montauk w/a friend who was spin fishing. He was throwing a white plastic leadhead. He tosses it into a pod of fish that blew up right beside the boat and his reel starts screaming, my first thought is just hooked up an Albie. Well he reels it in and it appears the Albie had become tailwrapped. I reach over and grab it looking for his leadhead to unhook the fish when I notice the line going back into the water and swimming around under the boat. I get the Ablie untangled plunge him back in he screams off unharmed and then he reels in a 27" striper. The 2 fish were about 20' apart would have trouble believing it if I hadn't seen it.......Stanley

    Yup. That's an impossible-to-duplicate trick.

Dang, that's wacky! The Albie must have been sleeping.
