Default I went fishing in RI!!!

First time in about a year or more. Felt great to be back. Met a few Stripermoonies as "planned". Found schoolies as well. Watched the needles do their thing under the lights. Might do it again next Tuesday, or hit the mouth of the mighty CT. That is more like 3 years or so since.

I've been jonesing to go, but the time-space continuum is ever against me. Glad you got out.

Going tomorrow for the day and evening. Sounds like the bait is still around and this fall has been so much better than last year. The wind forecast is good along with mostly cloudy skies. Next weeks storm may end it all, or not.

"Live Action" yesterday. Lot's of schoolies and hickory shad willing to play. A 2 inch pink over white fly was loved by the shad and as evening approached the september night fly was eaten by the stripers. Both fished on a floating line. The shad are a blast on the fly. Some of them pushed the 3lbs. and fought every bit as hard and leaped as much as the LLS I was catching in Maine last week. Great fish to introduce a begiining fly fisher to the sport. A 4 or 5 weight is all thats needed.

Sorry to hear that. I'm hoping for a pre-Sandy feeding frenzy tonight!
